You can date the origins of Hawthorne Development back to 1970 when partners Eric Pimental and John Garanito first met in kindergarten. A mutual interest in building and real estate brought the two together once again in the late 1980's, when along with another life long friend, the trio began speculating in land and other real estate interests.

In August 1990 Hawthorne Development, Inc. was incorporated in the State of Massachusetts. Over the next decade this young company gained a reputation as being one of the more prolific and creative builders in Southeastern Massachusetts.

Today Hawthorne Development, Inc., which is solely owned by partners Garanito and Pimental, holds a unique position in the market as being a true development company. This is because unlike most, HDI acquires raw land, takes it through engineering and permitting, constructs the infrastructure and then markets and builds each home to the individual specifications of our clients.

The partners have always maintained their core strategy that quality over quantity is the way to insure a consistent standing in the marketplace. John, who is responsible for the "day to day" operations, personally manages the construction of each home from the drafting table all the way through to completion. He visits the construction sites each day to insure that every component of construction meets his own high standards as well as the expectations of our clients. We feel that this is the only way to maintain our reputation and to provide our clients the new home they deserve. This has also attributed to our ability to provide a higher quality home at a more competitive price to our customers.
